As part of a working visit to the United States, President Sadyr Japarov took part in the launch ceremony of the Kyrgyz Republic's first national satellite.

According to the presidential administration, the launch took place from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

The satellite was launched into orbit as part of a group of spacecraft launched by a single launch vehicle. Its launch was a joint effort between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates. The satellite will be controlled from a control center located in Bishkek.

The launch of the satellite opens up new opportunities for the Kyrgyz Republic to use space data in various fields.

Satellite technologies will be particularly important for monitoring and early detection of natural hazards. The data obtained will allow for faster detection of droughts, floods, landslides, mudflows, and forest fires, creating additional opportunities for timely response and mitigation of potential damage.
